Coming up on August 5, Bert Lams and Tom Griesgraber will be opening for reknowned jazz group Acoustic Alchemy. Formed in the mid-eighties, Acoustic Alchemy is a Grammy Nominated instrumental group revolving around the sound of two acousitc guitars. Though the lineup has changed over the years, part of their sound has always been the blending of steel and nylon string guitars. Their influences range from jazz to new age music and their albums have consistently peaked high on the Adult Contemporary charts, frequently reaching number one.

Guitarist Bert Lams and Chapman Stick player Tom Griesgraber have been touring together as a duo since 2004. Best known as a member of The California Guitar Trio, Lams studied guitar at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels, Belgium and with guitarist Robert Fripp (King Crimson) before co-founding the CGT in 1991. The group has achieved much acclaim, including a Grammy nomination for their work with bassist Tony Levin. Their music has been featured on NBC, CNN, ESPN and the space shuttle Columbia. Tom Griesgraber is one of the world's most active Chapman Stick players; a 12-stringed guitar/bass hybrid played more like a piano. An honors graduate of Berklee College of Music, he performs frequently as a soloist and with his group Agent 22.
